Central Piling Ltd ‘s new SM-4 drill rig is currently working in Hazelmere, West Sussex constructing 48 piles to a depth of 8- 11.8m, 400/450mm diameter.

The SM-4 drill rig a fully remote control rig, capable drilling a maximum diameter of 600mm. 

Fitted with a Tier 4i engine with power of 115kW @ 2000 rpm, the SM-4 maximum torque is 3350 daNm with a hoist pull force of 70kN.

The rig itself is capable of working at a minimum height of 2.5m with a width of 750mm, allowing accessibility to even the most restricted access sites.
